The Queens Walk sundial was opened by the Mayor of Southwark on 19th March 2015. It was commissioned by More London, and designed by Piers Nicholson,

The inscription on the sundial reads

This sundial commemorates, the opening by the Queen on 9 June 1977
of t the London Silver Jubilee Walkway, which passes this spot,, and of
the William CurtisEcological Park, the first urban eclogical park in the world,
which stood on this site from 1976 to 1985, and of Max Nicholson, who
was the initiator of both of them (see www.maxnicholson.com)
